When Robert was consecrated as a Bishop at The Garden Tomb in Jerusalem, Israel, even his friend who arranged the ceremony didn’t know that Robert was being elevated to the episcopate.

This is not uncommon for Robert, who deliberately takes a back seat, preferring to serve in a support role and lift others. He often says, “True leadership is never about title and position; it is ALWAYS about trust and servanthood. If serving is beneath you, leadership is beyond you.”

Deep pains have shaped Robert, teaching him that the answers to life’s most challenging questions cannot be found within him. Only the Rock of Ages is a strong enough foundation for a life lived by faith - he believes that only Jesus can lead us to victory by His Spirit. Robert’s life reflects what his friend Bishop Tony Palmer used to say, “Diversity is divine; it’s the division that is diabolic.” Accordingly, Robert is known as a bridge builder and loves drawing people into relationships they don’t even know they need or want.

Most of all, Bishop Robert is determined to PRESS ON, to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus did for him, and he invites others to join him on a journey of a lifetime following Christ.

Bishop Robert holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theology and Master of Theology degrees from Faith Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Aidan University.
